George Graham Longcase Clock

This clock required a full service and a repair to the pendulum suspension spring. As with any clock of this value and importance, work has to be carried out sensitively to ensure that the value and integrity of the clock isn’t affected.

Antique Longcase Clock

This clock required a full restoration when a previous repair failed and caused significant damage. A new pinion was required, along with repair work to two wheels.

Bovet Pocket Watch

This watch required a full service and repair to the winding arbour.

Caleb Boney Astronomical Clock

This clock required a full service and a the correction of a previous repair. The clock is essentially a typical longcase clock, with a gearbox attached to the front which displays the time, the position of the sun, the position of the stars overhead, the moon phase, and the day and the month.

Museum Longcase Clocks

These clocks were restored as part of routine maintenance carried out by a local museum. The clocks themselves are fairly ordinary in their design and construction, but the repair work needed a more conservative approach and involved working closely with the museum curators.

Of great interest to me, this weather station is a very early barograph, though the term barograph wasn’t around when this was made.

The clock work required a full service and previous repairs which interfered with the barometer correcting.
