FAQs

What types of clocks and watches do you repair?

We repair a whole range of clocks and watches, ranging from 17th century English lantern clocks, through to modern battery powered watches.

That said we tend to turn away Cuckoo Clocks, Mid-Century Chiming Mantel Clocks, and American Ansonia Clocks due to the costs associated with servicing these, the lack of available parts, and the methods in which they were manufactured.

Do you offer free estimates?

We’re able to offer free estimates over email for the vast majority of clocks, and our Price Guide is a very good place to start for the price for servicing or restoration.

More complex jobs, where some disassembly or testing is required to diagnose the issue, carry a £35 diagnosis fee should the required work be declined once an estimate is generated. Clients would be made aware of any diagnosis fees up front.

How long does a typical repair take?

The time taken can range drastically depending on the job, but we work hard to ensure that the time we have you items is as short as possible, and we will be clear on taking in the job what our current turn around time is.

Typical turnaround times are:

  • Quartz Clock & Watch Servicing - 2 Weeks

  • Mechanical Watch Servicing - 6-8 Weeks

  • Mechanical Clock Servicing - 8-12 Weeks

Do you offer a warranty on repairs?

We off a minimum 12 month guarantee on all work carried out by us. More details can be found in our terms and conditions.

Do you repair water damaged watches?

Yes, but these repairs can be expensive due to the number of parts which may need to be replaced, and we are often unable to tell the exact extend of the damage until the watch has come apart.
